File Compressor: ZIP Creator, Extractor & Archive Manager · com.file.compressor.app · Last updated 26 October 2026
This policy explains how File Compressor: ZIP Creator, Extractor & Archive Manager (“the app”), published by ByteMaple (“we”, “us”), handles information when you use it. We built the app to work without an account. Our website is only involved if you use the optional license or notification features described below.
Summary
- No sign-up, no account and no personal profile.
- We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, files or precise location.
- The app shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads, as explained below.
- If you enter a license key, the app verifies it with our website and works ad-free while the license is active.
- The app can receive announcement notifications from us; you can turn them off in system settings at any time.
- Your progress and settings are stored only on your device.
Information stored on your device
The app saves your game progress, scores, coins and settings (such as sound and difficulty) in the app's private storage on your phone. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data in Android settings.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. Ads are optional rewarded videos — for example, to continue a game you lost — and you can always choose to start again instead.
To show and measure ads, prevent fraud and, where you allow it, personalise ads, AdMob may collect and process:
- The device's advertising ID (Android Advertising ID);
- Device and app information such as model, operating system version, language and app version;
- Your IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location (country or city);
- Ad interactions such as views, clicks and video completions;
- Diagnostics such as crash and performance data related to ads.
This data is collected directly by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. You can learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your ad choices
- Consent: if you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent through Google's consent form before personalised ads are shown. To change your choice later, clear the app's storage in Android settings and the form will appear again.
- Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads).
Optional ad-free license
The app works fully without a license. If you buy a package on our website and enter its license key in the app, the app sends the key, the app's identifier and a device identifier the app generates for itself (not a hardware serial number) to our website to activate the key, and checks it again when the app starts and periodically afterwards. We store the activation and check times on our server so we can enforce the device limit and detect shared keys. While the license is active the app shows no ads; if it expires or is revoked, ads return. Purchases are made on our website with a Google account and PayPal — the app itself never asks for your name, email or payment details.
Notifications
The app registers an installation identifier — and on Android a Firebase Cloud Messaging token — with our website so we can send occasional announcements, such as new content or important updates. The registration includes the app, platform and country only. Notifications are sent through Google Firebase under Google's privacy policy. You can switch notifications off in system settings at any time, and uninstalling the app removes the registration from rotation.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with anyone. The only third party that receives data from the app is Google AdMob, as described above.
Security
Data handled by Google AdMob is encrypted in transit. Data stored on your device is protected by Android's app sandbox.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will help remove it.
Data retention and deletion
On-device data is removed by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage. The license activations and notification registrations described above are held on our server while they are in use; to have them deleted — together with an account, if you made one — email hello@bytemaple.com and we will complete the deletion within 30 days. Purchase records may be kept longer where tax law requires it. To ask Google to delete ad data, use your Google account controls or reset your advertising ID.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The new version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
