Privacy Policy — LockEarn

LockEarn (“the app”), published by ByteMaple (“we”, “us”), is a lock-screen app: it shows clearly labelled sponsored cards on your lock screen and pays you for verified views of those cards. This policy explains what information the app and our server handle, and why.

1. Information we collect

ByteMaple account email — only if you sign in inside the app, so your earnings can be credited to your account. Signing in is optional; without it, sponsored cards can still be shown but views do not earn.
Country — derived from your IP address by our server (and/or the country your device reports), used to show campaigns targeted at your country and for advertisers' country reports. We do not collect precise location.
Ad interaction events — when a sponsored card is shown (a view/impression) or tapped (a click), the app reports the campaign, the time and the country to bytemaple.com. Views may earn a reward; clicks never earn.
Earnings ledger and PayPal email — if you use the earnings wallet, we keep a ledger of your view rewards and payouts on our server, and the PayPal email address you give us for payouts, so we can pay you.
Device install id — a random identifier generated by the app for your install. It lets the server recognise the same install, prevent reward fraud (for example repeated views of the same card inside a cooldown window) and link the install to your account when you sign in.

2. Sponsored content

Cards shown on the lock screen are sponsored advertising from advertisers who run campaigns through ByteMaple, and they are clearly labelled as sponsored. LockEarn carries no third-party advertising SDKs — sponsored cards are served by our own server only.

3. What the app does NOT do

It does not access your messages, calls, photos, files, contacts or any other app's content.
It does not collect, see, record or interfere with your device's unlock credentials — your PIN, pattern, password and fingerprint/Face unlock stay entirely with Android. LockEarn displays its cards alongside the lock screen; it never replaces or handles the unlock itself.
It does not track your precise location, and it does not sell your personal information.

4. How the information is used

To run the lock screen and rotate sponsored cards, to decide and credit view rewards, to prevent fraud and abuse, to produce advertisers' aggregated reports (views and clicks by country — advertisers never receive your email or install id), and to process the PayPal payouts you request.

5. Data security & retention

Account sign-in from the app uses a personal access token stored hashed on our server; device tokens are likewise stored only as hashes. Earnings and payout records are kept while your account exists so your balance stays correct. Uninstalling the app removes its on-device data; you can ask us at the contact address below to delete your account data.

6. Children's privacy

LockEarn is not directed at children under 13, and the earnings and payout features require a ByteMaple account. We do not knowingly collect children's data.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
